Doula Tools

At WellCare of North Carolina, we recognize the vital role trained, professional doulas play in supporting our members and their families through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum journey. Doula services are available to any pregnant member who has completed their first OB visit, with a special emphasis on supporting those experiencing high-risk pregnancies orlimited support systems.

Members initiate the authorization process for doula services. If you are a certified doula interested in partnering with WellCare, explore how you can join us in making a meaningful impact on maternal health.

Doula services are a Value-Added Benefit offered by WellCare to increase positive maternal outcomes for covered pregnant members and families.
